About Fast Business Funds
Fast Business Funds is a national business lender providing working capital and commercial financing to businesses throughout the United States. Since 2019, we have worked directly with business owners seeking capital for inventory, payroll, equipment, expansion, contract fulfillment, operating expenses and other business needs.
Merchant cash advances and revenue-based working capital are central areas of our business, but they are not the only financing programs available. Fast Business Funds also offers equipment financing, business lines of credit, term loans, SBA financing, invoice factoring and large business funding programs, including transactions reaching into the millions of dollars.
Our approach is straightforward: understand the business first, then determine the appropriate way to structure the financing.
What Fast Business Funds Does
Fast Business Funds is not a lead-generation website or an online marketplace that collects an application and distributes the applicant’s information to unrelated companies.
Our funding specialists work directly with the business owner throughout the transaction.
The process begins with a consultation about the company, the amount of capital needed and what the business intends to accomplish with the funding. We then review relevant qualifications, which can include revenue, cash flow, bank activity, credit profile, time in business, industry, existing obligations and the intended use of funds.
When the business is ready to proceed, Fast Business Funds handles the application and origination process, collects and reviews the required documentation, structures the transaction and prepares it for underwriting.
If an approval is issued, we review the funding amount, payment structure, term and other important details with the business owner. We then manage the remaining requirements through closing and funding.
From the first conversation through application, origination, underwriting, approval, closing and funding, Fast Business Funds remains directly involved in the transaction.
Business Funding Is Not One-Size-Fits-All
A business generating strong monthly revenue may need working capital quickly but have credit that does not meet traditional bank requirements. Another company may be purchasing a truck or piece of machinery that is better suited to equipment financing. A financially strong company seeking several million dollars may qualify for traditional bank financing with longer terms and a different underwriting process.
Those transactions should not be treated the same.
Fast Business Funds offers multiple financing programs because different businesses—and different uses of capital—require different structures.
For revenue-based funding, business performance and cash flow can carry substantial weight in the approval process. Equipment financing considers both the business and the asset being financed. Traditional bank and SBA programs generally place greater emphasis on credit, financial statements, tax-return income and other conventional underwriting requirements.
Our job is to understand those differences and determine which available program is appropriate for the transaction.
Merchant Cash Advance & Revenue-Based Working Capital
Merchant cash advance and revenue-based working capital programs provide businesses with an alternative to traditional bank financing when cash flow supports the request.
These programs can be particularly useful when a business needs capital for inventory, payroll, seasonal preparation, contract fulfillment, expansion or another time-sensitive opportunity.
Qualification is based heavily on the actual performance of the business. Revenue, deposit history, average bank balances, existing obligations, industry, time in business and credit can all influence an approval.
Credit requirements can also vary considerably among revenue-based funding programs. A previous decline from another MCA company therefore does not necessarily mean a business is unable to qualify for merchant cash advance funding. The previous application may simply have failed to meet that particular program’s credit, revenue, operating-history or industry requirements.
Understanding why a transaction was declined is often more useful than knowing that it was declined.
That is one of the areas where an experienced Fast Business Funds funding specialist can make a meaningful difference.
Equipment Financing for a Wide Range of Credit Profiles
When capital is being used to purchase business equipment, financing the asset separately can sometimes provide a better structure than using working capital for the entire purchase.
Fast Business Funds provides equipment financing for commercial vehicles, construction equipment, machinery, medical equipment, restaurant equipment, office equipment and other business assets.
Programs are available for businesses with excellent credit as well as companies with challenged credit. In some circumstances, business owners with credit scores in the mid-to-low 500s may still qualify when business cash flow and the overall transaction support the request.
This is another reason we look at the purpose of the capital rather than simply asking how much money a business wants.
Large Business Funding
Fast Business Funds also handles substantial capital requests.
Companies with strong revenue and cash flow may qualify for revenue-based funding reaching $10 million, using many of the same fundamental cash-flow underwriting principles applied to more typical working-capital transactions.
Companies that meet traditional bank underwriting requirements may have another path. Businesses with strong credit, CPA-prepared financial statements, sufficient tax-return income and the documentation necessary to support a larger transaction may qualify for traditional bank financing well beyond $10 million.
The appropriate path depends on the financial strength of the company, documentation, intended use of funds and type of financing requested.
What Happens When You Work With Fast Business Funds?
Business owners can begin by speaking directly with a funding specialist. You do not need to determine which financing product you need before calling us.
Tell us about the business, how much capital you are considering and what you want the money to accomplish.
From there, our process is straightforward:
- Consultation — We discuss the business, capital requirement and intended use of funds.
- Application — You complete a Fast Business Funds application and provide the documentation required for the transaction.
- Review & Origination — We evaluate the business, review the documentation and structure the funding request.
- Underwriting — The transaction proceeds through the appropriate underwriting process based on the financing program.
- Approval Review — Your funding specialist explains the approved amount, payment structure, term and other important conditions.
- Closing & Funding — We coordinate the remaining requirements and stay involved through completion of the transaction and disbursement of funds.
For straightforward revenue-based working capital transactions, the process can sometimes move from application to funding the same day or next business day when the required documentation is complete. More complex transactions and traditional financing programs may require additional documentation and underwriting time.
Experience Matters When a Business Has Already Been Declined
A previous financing decline should be understood in context.
Different funding programs can have substantially different requirements for credit, monthly revenue, time in business, industry and existing financial obligations. This is especially important in merchant cash advance underwriting.
A business owner who happens to approach programs designed for stronger-credit applicants may receive multiple declines and reasonably conclude that MCA funding is unavailable. Another program may evaluate the same business differently when its revenue and cash flow support the transaction.
The same principle applies to equipment financing. Challenged personal credit does not automatically eliminate equipment financing when the business has sufficient cash flow and the transaction otherwise qualifies.
We do not assume that every previous decline can be overcome. Instead, we look at why the transaction was declined and whether an appropriate funding program exists for the business as it stands today.
Our Approach to Business Financing
We believe a good funding decision involves more than obtaining the largest possible approval.
The payment has to work within the company’s cash flow. The financing structure should be appropriate for how the money will be used. And the expected benefit of the capital should make sense relative to its cost.
Sometimes that means using revenue-based working capital to take advantage of a near-term opportunity. Sometimes equipment should be financed over a longer period. Businesses with stronger traditional qualifications may benefit from a term loan, line of credit, SBA program or bank financing instead.
The objective is not to force every business into the same product.
It is to structure capital around the business.
Our Commitment
Fast Business Funds is committed to providing business owners with clear information, knowledgeable guidance and a straightforward funding process.
We do not charge an upfront fee to submit a business funding application. We do not sell applications as leads or operate a consumer lead marketplace. Our funding specialists work directly with applicants and remain involved throughout the funding transaction.
Business owners should understand what they are accepting before a transaction closes. We explain the funding amount, payment structure, term and other important conditions so the owner can make an informed decision about whether the financing is appropriate for the business.
Since 2019, that has remained the purpose of Fast Business Funds: help businesses obtain the capital they need through a professional process built around the transaction itself.
